To ensure water resource sustainability in the TFD Industrial Estate, JCK International Public Company Limited, the developer and management of TFD Industrial Estate and the Industrial Water Resource Management Co., Ltd. (IWRM) agreed to cooperate by signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance water security in TFD Industrial Estate at the EEC area. The Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony on Strengthening Water Supply in the EEC area, TFD Industrial Estate by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand was held on December 23, 2021 at JC Kevin Sathorn Bangkok Hotel.
Under this cooperation, IWRM will be responsible for water management in industrial estates and laying water pipelines from IWRM's natural reservoirs with capacity of 30 million cubic meters to TFD Industrial Estate in order to be ready for the use of water in the industrial Estate in the near future.
The MoU was signed by the representatives of TFD Industrial Estate including Dr. Apichai Taechaubol, Chairman of JCK International Public Company Limited; Mr. Anukul Ubonnuch, Managing Director; and Mr. Krittawat Taechaubol, Deputy Managing Director and the representative of Industrial Water Resources Management Co.,Ltd. (IWRM), Mr. Thanawat Santinoranon, Executive Director of IWRM. The signing ceremony was also received an honour from Mr. Tada Sunthonphan, Deputy Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and Dr. Kanit Sangsuphan Secretary-General of Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) to take part and sign as witness.
‘The MoU Signing Ceremony on strengthening water supply in the EEC area, TFD Industrial Estate by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand” got the great attention from both Thai and foreign investors as TFD Industrial Estate is a Smart Industrial Estate located on a strategic location with an area of more than 3,000 rais. TFD Industrial Estate located at the strategic point of a new industrial city in the Smart City area of Chachoengsao province, which is also the first gateway to the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). It is close to both Bangkok and Laem Chabang port and it is only 30 kilometers away from Suvarnabhumi Airport. At present, more than 800 rais of land has been allocated into industrial zones divided into General Zone and Free Zone, which is ready to support investors who are interested in investment in 12 industrial sectors in EEC, Thailand. TFD Industrial Estate also provides facilities to support the expansion of the industrial sectors, such as the electrical system from Bang Pakong Power Plant, the gas system from PTT Public Company Limited, and the water system from agreement under this Memorandum Of Understanding. It can be said that TFD Industrial Estate will be the first industrial estate of EEC that is able to "declare water readiness" to investors.
